During my time out of the classroom I travel to different technology conferences in the United States. At some of these break out session, I always get the same question: How can they make learning fun in the classroom? Some of the teachers even say, technology is such distraction to classroom instruction time. I beg to differ!!! I found the perfect resource for teachers who are confused on how to make technology FUN!!!

In the growing age of Technology, schools are getting more involved with the transition of becoming a 21st century school. Velma Jackson High School is one of the schools that is on their way towards the technology savvy classroom. At Velma Jackson students have access to IPADS, state of the art computer lab, graphic design courses, STEM cources, and even mimios.
Ms. Nimox is an english II teacher at Velma Jackson High School. She has her classroom full of technology devices. I got a chance observe her classroom while the students were working with TALK POINTS in cooperative learning environment. I found the small handheld device very interesting. The device was round, small, colorful, not that expensive, it had an on and off switch, and a play back button on the bottom of it. I thought it was very useful because she was not repeating instructions over and over again to the entire classroom. Her wish is to get a set of IPADS for her classrooms. She said that a set of IPADS in classroom would allow her to incorportate a flipped classroom. WAY TO GO MS. NIMOX!!!! SHE IS MOVING TOWARDS A 21ST CENTURY LEARNING EXPERIENCE!!!! •Blended learning is “Anytime a student learns in part in a supervised brick-and-mortar place away from home, and at least in part through online delivery.”
