Hidden Figures

today marks the last day of the hour of code week but this does not have to stop your learning about computer science. Coding is just a form of computer science but if you notice in the Hidden Figures there were no computers that we know of today involved. See computer science is technically not just about coding but it's about the algorithms and the computational thinking that is involved. Algorithms can be used in everyday life. Algorithms can be used to get astronauts to the moon, figure out your credit for a new house, figure out your daily shopping habits, or how to create an app. So the next time you get on facebook, snap chat, or instagram and see those adds that subliminally show items you were looking at on amazon, THINK ALGORITHMS and COMPUTER SCIENCE.
Hidden Figures is a must see movie! Computer science played a huge role on getting the first man to the moon BUT women were the reason the first MAN ever walked on the moon! Race and gender plays a huge role in society but to computer science it's just another algorithm. That's why it's important to give access to everyone! It shouldn't matter whether you are a woman or man! It only matters whether or not you are able to think critically, logically, and understand that anybody can learn!!!!!! Happy hour of Code week! #csforall #hourofcode #hiddenfigures #girlswhocode

I LOVE educating teachers!  I love having the ability to help teachers reach that pivotal moment in their lesson by integrating technology into the classroom. I love how I can help teachers make technology meaningful in their classrooms.
YOU CAN BE A TECHNO EDUCATOR ALSO!!  A Techno Educator is someone who is excited about technology, who does not fear technology, likes to solve software problems, likes to teach with technology, and is a 21st century learner.
