Blogging using channel one

Each day in my Audio Video Production class my students watch Channel one. Channel One has been around more than 20 years. Anderson Cooper was an anchor on this nationally known news channel. Channel One is a great student centered news station that can be used in any classroom. Channel One focuses on topics that students want to learn about and it broadens their minds. The news channel also correlates with common core based questions at the end of the segment. Teachers can print quizzes and transcripts from the previously aired shows.

My students watch the 10 minute show and blog about the topic I give them each day. The topics that are given to my students are centered around their classroom assignments ( audio video production) for that day. It is so wonderful to see my students writing their opinions about the show. I've gotten my students wanting to blog in their spare time. Some even want to be bloggers and vloggers in the future. So watch out for the next big blogger on your screens. Have a wonderful techno week!

I LOVE educating teachers!  I love having the ability to help teachers reach that pivotal moment in their lesson by integrating technology into the classroom. I love how I can help teachers make technology meaningful in their classrooms.
YOU CAN BE A TECHNO EDUCATOR ALSO!!  A Techno Educator is someone who is excited about technology, who does not fear technology, likes to solve software problems, likes to teach with technology, and is a 21st century learner.
