Children come to school deeply curious about their
surroundings and technology provides an ideal setting for their innate drive to explore and investigate. The more students are exposed to technology the more likely their morale will be boosted and their eagerness to learn increases dramatically. The more likely students are eager to learn the more likely their performing level can meet academic success during their middle and high schools years. Students will be exposed to not just Americas’ way of excelling but to the worlds’ way of excelling and going beyond their expectations. Today’s technology standards (International Society for Technology in Education, 2000) challenge teacher education programs across the nation to address the need to produce computer literate teachers who are confident in their ability to choose and incorporate instructional technology into classroom teaching. It is crucial for educators to prepare and share innovative ways of integrating technology into the curriculum for students who are in middle and high school settings (Mistretta, 2005).
